NEWS: Body Count to Unleash ‘Bloodlust’ Album in March

Body Count is coming back with more politically charged music in 2017. Frontman Ice-T shared a teaser for the new track “No Lives Matter” while announcing a March release date for Body Count’s sixth album, Bloodlust.

tAfter teaming up with Sumerian Records to unleash the unrepentant Manslaughter in 2014, Body Count signed to Century Media earlier this year, inking a deal for Bloodlust. The band has already started shooting a music video for “No Lives Matter,” the album’s first single. The song starts out with a monologue by Ice-T, who takes on the people who say “All Lives Matter” in response to “Black Lives Matter.”

“When I say ‘Black Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter,’ that’s like if I was to say ‘Gay Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter,’ if I said ‘Women’s Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter.’ You’re diluting what I’m saying, you’re diluting the issue,” Ice-T says. “The issue isn’t about everybody, it’s about black lives at the moment. But the truth of the matter is they don’t really give a f—k about anybody if you break the s—t down to the low f—king dirty ass truth.”
