WOAH: Woman tries to run over husband in case of lawn-raking rage, police say

ARGENTINE TOWNSHIP, MI — An argument over who should rake the yard ended with a woman in jail on felonious assault charges, according to police.

Police were called to a home in the 14000 block of Duffield Road twice Saturday, Nov. 7, Argentine Township Police Chief Daniel Allen said.

That’s when police were called to the home a second time. Police said it appeared the woman was trying to run over the man with her car in the driveway. Police believe she had been drinking between the time her husband left the residence and returned, Allen said.

She was arrested and lodged in the Flint City Lockup.

Her identity has not been released yet, pending arraignment. Allen said she likely will face felonious assault charges.

The man did not request medical treatment in the incident, Allen said.
