MUSIC NEWS WITH GARY: Them Metallica Fellas are Going to Bat for Brendon Small and Metalocalypse

Not a lot has our gang rolling on the floor more than that wacky fucking cartoon about that crazy metal band Dethklok.  You know, that friggin’ animated series called Metalocalypse with that right fucking gibbled cocaine clown on’r.  Well, ya see, fans got involved when creator Brandon Small said a RocksoFaceproposed end to the series, titled Metalocalypse: The Army of the Doomstar – The Final Chapter, would air if it found a home. Now a new campaign, called MetalocalypseNOW, is asking viewers to “demand the finale to Metalocalypse. Stand together with your favorite bands and fellow fans to take your show back.” There’s an online petition fans can sign, and they’re also encouraged to tweet to Hulu and Adult Swim.  I’ll tell ya, this idiot over here (me) got the chance to prep Mr. Small for his rockandrolljunkie.com podcast interview, and that friggin’ guy is not only a killer guitarist, but he’s also a right nice guy as well.  And, that show has Randy and I rolling around on the floor, spitting our wobblies all over the rug on a regular basis.  Now the Masters of Puppets themselves are piping in.  “Everyone here at Metallica HQ would really appreciate it if you can finish Metalocalypse so we can watch it on your lovely device,” their message to Hulu reads. “Thank you for your attention in this matter.”  Hey Hulu – quit being shithawks and play the friggin’ show already!  Metallica’s James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett are more than casual fans, by the way. They’ve both provided their voices to Metalocalypse, including the characters Lorkey the Sailor (Hetfield) and the Queen of Denmark (Hammett). Actors like Mark Hamill and Malcolm McDowell have also contributed to the show over the years.  Luke friggin’ Skywalker and the eggie-wagie Singin’ in The Rain dude with the cod piece are on that show.  Again, don’t be fucktards Hulu!  We need to see that episode as much as them other fellas do! – GARY
