FILM: Fat Wreck Chords’ History to Be Explored in New Documentary Featuring NOFX, Propagandhi, the Flatliners

The 20-year-plus history of prolific pop punk label Fat Wreck Chords is set to be explored in an upcoming fan-made documentary, which will feature interviews with the likes of imprint founder and NOFX bassist Fat Mike, as well as members of Propagandhi, the Flatliners and more.

Filmmakers write that the goal is to tell the story via “the artists, recording engineers, and record label itself,” while also analyzing the impact of the Fat bands through interviews with “fans, bands, writers, club owners, promoters, and everyone else influenced one way or another by this music.”

The filmmakers added, “For better or worse, depending on who you ask, Fat Wreck Chords was a major player in the resurgence of punk rock in the early ’90s with significant influence on the genre and a very likely long lasting impact on the history of punk rock.”
