SongoftheDay: LET THERE BE ROCK (Live at the Apollo Theatre 1978) by AC/DC

You know what? I’m still really bummed out about the unfortunate shit that has happened to Malcolm Young.  I’ve said it before, and I meant it; Malcolm Young IS AC/DC.  Yeah, we all love little Angus running around the stage, and his solos can be pretty epic, but it’s the songwriting that Malcolm puts forth that makes this band timeless.  That fucking guy can play the shit out of that guitar.  Well, he could play the shit out of the guitar.  I don’t how much guitar playing, if any, he will ever do again.  It’s still making me sad.  AC/DC are coming to my town, and as much as I should be super excited about that, the thought of not having Malcolm there kinda turns me off of the whole thing.  Well, here’s a classic from back in the Bon Scott days – done all live and fucking awesome!  p.s. our guest this week, Dean Delray also loves AC/DC, and has named his podcast after this song.  You should really check him out.  Listen and subscribe to this awesome podcast: Dean Delray – Let There Be Talk.
